Your Momma Don't Dance

11th Mar 2008 - 20th Apr 2008

Danny Fisher has established himself as one of South Africa’s most talented entertainers, and this time has collaborated with his two beautiful and talented daughters Joanne and Danielle, who together with a dynamic band showcase some of Durban’s finest musical talent.

This exciting family line-up will bring a unique blend of comedy and music to The Barnyard Theatre at Gateway with Your Momma Don’t Dance, But Your Daddy Can Rock ‘n Roll from March 11.

Directed and produced by Duck Chowles of The Barnyard Theatre Productions, who has always admired Danny’s unique talent, the show can be relied on to melt the heart of an audience and the next minute have them rolling in hysterics!

Danny Fisher is a rubber-faced comedian who does impressions of famous stars of stage and screen. In one evening you will see and hear him impersonate the likes of Ozzy Osbourne, Mick Jagger, Tom Jones, Meatloaf, Willie Nelson, Julio Iglesias, Roy Orbison, Kenny Rogers and even the great Nelson Mandela himself. Danny is also one of the world’s best Elvis Presley impersonators. Now his daughters Joanne and Danielle are following in his footsteps. The girls have become a dynamic dance and vocal duo who add sex appeal and a rock-chick sassy attitude, and are joined by Ankee Delport on vocals.

Danny and the girls are backed by a dynamic five-piece band who together bring a diversity to the show that keeps audiences enraptured. The band consists of Calli Thomson on keyboards, Josh Thatcher on guitar, Bongani Sokhela on bass guitar, Alan Lloyd on drums, and Vicky Goddard on saxophone.
